Ficus Elastica

11/04/2023 | Green Wellness, Inspiration

Ficus Elastica 👉 it is a regal and precious plant, everyone likes it because of its charm 😁
Ficus Elastica is the right choice of those who love having plants and pots at home. As a matter of fact, whatever are the furnishings and colors at home, your ficus always looks good!

It is an aesthetic choice but also of wellbeing 🌟 because ficus is among those plants that have the great advantage of purifying the air in your home, making the environment in which it grows healthier. For all the details on this topic, do not miss this content!

Features of Ficus Elastica
It is a tropical plant, native to southern Asia, mainly India and Malaysia.
The ficus elastica greatly appreciates temperatures above 15 degrees, a fair degree of humidity and light.
But be careful with the direct light! The risk is to burn the leaves and we must avoid this … both for the general health of the plant and because the leaves are its strong point 👉 large up to 40 cm in length, they are naturally glossy, oval in shape and of bright green or reddish-brown color.
So…let’s protect its leaves! 😬
Finally, if we have the plant at home, the soil should be watered when it is completely dry.

We would even say that with these little precautions we could make the plant grow healthy and strong over time!
If then, after years, it will have grown so much we will think about repotting.

Curiosity about Ficus Elastica
Not everyone knows that the ficus is often called the “Rubber Tree” because it contains a latex particularly suitable for the production of rubber. The specific term “elastic” was introduced by the Scottish botanist William Roxburgh in his work Hortus bengalensis in the year 1814. The plant is still often given as a gift today, to friends and relatives, as a symbol of abundance, hope, prosperity and health.
Remember that for your next gift! 🤩

We, have chosen a 30cm diameter LEAFmood pot in a smoke gray color for our ficus elastica,
Important 👉 remember that this pot is made with over 65% recycled plastic from separate waste collection.
And about this matter, don’t miss our reel posted on IG 🌱
