Monstera ❤️ Who doesn’t love it? 🥰
That’s right! It is very easy to find this plant in a flat, in a studio or in any office.
This essentially happens for two reasons:
- Monstera is perfect for “black thumbs” 😅 if you are not particularly used to plant care or you belong to that “category” where plants do not live long…. the monstera is then the right plant for you! It is a plant that requires little attention, a lot of light (not direct) and little water.
- The monstera is objectively beautiful 🥰 It grows quickly and it has typical leaves that give the house light, color and decoration.
This is the reason why plants, and pots are appreciated by many people and we have already talked about it here. The monstera grows easily and it takes its space as much as it can and for this reason it is often photographed and easily visible on the various social profiles of green lovers. Have you ever seen it, haven’t?
IMPORTANT 👉 not everyone knows that the monstera has such a beautiful meaning that it is difficult to resist the temptation to give it away or to buy it for yourself!
Monstera is a word that derives from the Latin “monstrum” that means prodigy and it is a symbol of longevity. Let’s think that in the Chinese culture it is used to honor old people or people deserving of the family respect.
And that’s not all! Remember that it is also one of the most suitable plants for cleaning the air in closed environments (if you are interested in this topic, do not miss this content).
How to take care of a monstera
Place the plant in a very bright corner of the house (or office) but try to protect it from direct sunlight. Be careful not to place it near heat sources or drafts, because this plant does not tolerate sudden changes in temperature.
The monstera grows a lot over the time and therefore it is always good to have sticks or stakes to support its leaves.
It is a plant with aerial roots and this means that the soil must have good water drainage in order to avoid an excess of moisture that is harmful to the roots themselves. The rule is therefore always the same: do not excess with irrigation and only wet the plant when the soil is dry.
The right pot for the monstera
Here we are spoiled for choice …we suggest you to put the monstera in a VASO CONICO from the Oltrevaso collection: elegance and originality will be guaranteed!
Only attention: every 2-3 years we suggest you to proceed to repotting in a larger pot, always depending on your space availability. The monstera grows quickly and we must always guarantee adequate space to it.
