Gardening what a passion!
Gardening is an hobby that attracts always more people, from the oldest to the youngest. Gardening is a relaxing, satisfying, funny activity and it can be done involving even the children who can learn to respect nature and its rules. The experience of taking care of the growth of plants and of having the responsibility to help them to grow, is an important school for both adults and children 😊
Taking care of plats does not necessarily mean to have a garden! A terrace, balcony or corner of the house can be enough.
If you also want a nice garden or a green corner at home but you have never been a green lover and you don’t know how to start, here there are 5 practical tips to start successfully!
1) Think…in small!
If you want to create a beautiful garden or terrace full of plants and flowers, don’t think about getting everything right away. Start slowly! For example, choose the plants – perhaps of small sizes – that you like most. Select the right pots you need considering the right size and the colors you prefer.
Remember that for Plastecnic producing a pot does not only mean to give a functional and technical support to the customer’s needs, but it also means to give an esthetic solution that goes beyond the product itself. Once you have chosen the right pot, take some fresh soil. This will allow you to start from fertile soil and prevent weeds.
Living nature and its spaces is an experience that combines spontaneity and culture, which recovers historical values and at the same time is continually renewed. You will see that it will become an extraordinary experience that will be essential for you!
2) Pay attention to drainage
In order to guarantee a good drainage for your plant, make sure that the pots you are using have holes in the bottom.
Sometimes we suggest you to place a layer of small stones on the bottom. Here you will find some more information 😊
3) Choose the right season 🌱
Plants and flowers should be planted at the right times of the year. It is useless to start potting in the middle of summer or in the middle of winter! Find out what is the best time to plant what you have chosen. Also pay attention to the climate of the area you live in and choose only the suitable plants.
4) Pay attention for the irrigation!
Light and water are essential for plants. The choice of the pot is important to control the right water condition for the plant. Here we give you some tips but remember that in general the younger the plant is, the more it needs water. Try to wet it several times a week, but be careful not to wet the leaves as well, which could easily rot. And don’t exceed with water!
When the plant is growing, the quantity of water can also be increased. One of the main signs that you are watering too much, however, is the presence of yellow leaves.
5) Prune and cut 🌸
Prune your plants in the most suitable periods, such as in autumn or before the start of blooming. Then get always rid of dry or yellow leaves and cut them off. This will allow more air circulation between the branches, keeping your plant healthy and strong.
Are you ready to start? 😁
